For most TV and Radio channels a modemspeed of only 28.8Kb/s is required!
For the broadband TV stations you need 100-1500 Kbits per second. Test your bandwidth by clicking HERE.

Some Firewalls (used in Networks) make it impossible to receive streaming media. Ask your Networkadministrator for more info.

Sometimes connections are very slow and it can take a while before a channel works. Carefully read the error message and most important:

be patient!
.

In order to receive Live TV or Radio you only need some FREE Software (RealPlayer 8 Basic - MediaPlayer) and a soundcard+speakers. Most TV and Radio Stations use RealPlayer and Mediaplayer. Some TV stations use Quicktime.
Pop-up stoppers should be disabled in order to startup TV stations.

Important information for Firefox users:
In order to avoid problems (not opening Windows Media Player) please make the following adjustments in your Firefox browser:

Click "tools"
Click "options"
Click "downloads"
Click "plug-ins" (see file types) or View & Edit Actions
Disable all the Windows Media Player filetypes or "change action" and open with the "default application".

Internet Explorer 6.0 users are advised not to play web media in the sidebar to avoid problems of all kinds. Explorer 6 keeps bugging about invalid media files (some TV stations don't work anymore) and it kills the frames navigation! (Simply disable web media by going to Media Options/Settings/Disable play web media in the bar).

Users of Winamp should make the following adjustment in the preferences in order to avoid conflicts with Mediaplayer:
Goto: options/preferences and then goto general preferences/file types and deselect ASF and WMV in the associated file types.

When you click on the name of a TV channel at the wwiTV.com website, the website of the TV channel pops up and the Video stream will load itself in the RealPlayer or MediaPlayer. You need to have JavaScript enabled in your Webbrowser otherwise NOTHING will happen!

TIP: most problems are solved by installing Mediaplayer or Realplayer again!
